Nautilus 2009?

In keeping with one of our earlier post, we like it when current concepts meet what would once look like concept art within science fiction. I think it’s incredible things like this are being designed, although these yachts probably cost more money than I’ll ever see in my lifetime, but I love the sweeping organic design of these two yachts by Schöpfer Yachts. Jump ahead to see more renders of these beauties.

The above is the aptly named Oculus with an eye towards the stern. Further down the shots show the Infinitas the bigger badder mother to the Oculus, suitable as the yacht for any Bond villain (prior to the reimagining anyway, unless you slapped a Sony logo on the side). The internal shots which you can find on either links at the bottom are luxurious and flowing, very 60s or 70s space age, but really suit the organic shapes in the two designs.

  1. I dunno the first just looks like a gaping fish with his mouth wide open and that akes it look silly to me :P

  2. HA! it looks like the Cylons have taken to designing ships now instead of deadly deadly space ships

  3. love these designs. Would be great to see them made into reality, for those wealthy enough to afford one :)
